Quality evaluation of grains, stored in company „X“

The aim of 2015 study was to determine the quality of wheat, triticales and barley that was stored in the company X. Investigative methods and materials: 10 farmers‘ incoming grain samples (wheat, barley and triticale) were analysed: Wheat - 60 samples (I to IV, Extra class under 12 samples) Barley - 12 samples, Triticale - 12 samples. The influence of grain indices: sensory (smell, color), the total level of impurities, impurities content, grain impurity profiles of the standard mass of grain, falling number. Has been established chemical indicators of grain with Infratec. Results and findings: During the period of the research wheat, triticales and barley were stored in company X. The largest amount of stored grains was wheat (23051,88 t.), of which the biggest amount was second class (8936,76 t.). The moisture of various class grain was not statistically significant (p>0,0001), except fourth class grain (14,614% humidity), which moisture was always higher than other types (p<0,0001). Most waste was found in triticales (8,056%), while the first class wheat had least waste (3,208%). Triticales had statistically signifinact biggest amount of waste in comparison with other types of cultures. There was statistically significant difference in number of protein, gluten, falling number, sedimentation and waste in all classes of wheat (p<0,0001).
